Why they should be in the student spotlight: Kelly became a member of Order of Omega Greek Honors Society during the Spring 2007 semester. Upon being admitted and initiated, Kelly immediately expressed interest in becoming an officer in the organization. Our chapter has consistently struggled with having student leaders take on leadership positions considering that many will only be active in the organization for one year or in some cases, one semester. Kelly embodies what Order of Omega stands for by committing herself to uphold a strong academic record as well as continuing to better the Greek-letter organization community. During our first Order of Omega meeting this year, Kelly arrived early and stayed later than the rest of the organization’s members, which emphasizes her commitment to helping the organization grow. She also was very vocal about our organization’s need to have quality programs and even suggested potential programming ideas. She even went further as to volunteer to plan and coordinate some of our programs for the upcoming year. Kelly is a very valuable member of Order of Omega. She has continued to exemplify the ideals on which the organization was founded time after time. As a member of the student population, I would be proud to have her represent the Eta Psi chaper in the Student Spotlight.
