Scholarships created through 50 for 50 campaign

The first two scholarship were awarded through donations funded by our chapters, national headquarters and dedicated members.  This year two (2) $1,000 scholarships were awarded to Teresa Goering of Chi Omega at the University of New Mexico and Branden Stewart of Delta Sigma Phi at Grand Valley State University.  During the recent Order of Omega winter board meeting the decision was made to continue these scholarships as a way to sustain the 50 for 50 campaign.  Special thanks to everyone who supported the Order of Omega 50 for 50 campaign.

2009 Alcohol & Drug Education Program Winner

Mark Sedziol of Sigma Zeta at Wilmington College

sigma zeta

Mark has twice organized Sigma Zeta's annual Alcohol Education Program, which was held in April and November 2009.  The most recent program featured Agent Andrew Alanis of the Ohio Department of Public Safety's Investigative Unit.  Agent Alanis spoke to the students about the dangers of drugs and alcohol and provided a different perspective on the legal ramifications they can pose to students, the university and Greek life.  He also provided significant information relating to Greek organizations hosting gatherings in which alcohol is sold or present.

The link below offers a scenario used in Sigma Zeta's program.  CONSIDER THIS....
