An Order of Omega representative will be at both NGLA & SEIFC this week. If you have any questions, chapter concerns, or just want to stop by and say hi, please don't hesitate to come by the display. Dr. Kent Gardner, Executive Director, will be available to speak to you at NGLA, and Mr. Darald Stubbs, Southern Region Chapter Director, will be an attendance at SEIFC.  Also, Order of Omega will be announcing our Outstanding Chapter Award winners and holding an honorary initiation at each conference.  Please come by and support your fellow Order of Omega brothers & sisters. Congratulations 2011 Scholarship Recipients!

Order of Omega is happy to announce that it has awarded 135 undergraduate members over $63,000 in scholarships this year.  Broken down; we awarded three $1,000 scholarships, thirteen $750 scholarships, seventy-four $500 scholarships, and forty-five $300 scholarships. A listing of the recipients can be found in the 2011 Scholarship Committee Report. Every fall we allow our chapters to nominate two outstanding members to apply for these awards. Some chapters are granted three nominations because of their chapter size or because they met their full membership quote the previous year.  This year we had 152 applicants representing 89 chapters.  Recipients and advisors were notified the week of January 2nd, and award checks will be mailed to the applicants the week of January 9th. 

Order of Omega was pleased to announce and recognize the 2011 Fellowship Award Recipients at our annual Awards Reception held at AFA this past weekend in St. Louis.  There were many outstanding applications received this year.  The Order of Omega Fellowship Program accepts applications each year during the fall semester, and winners are announced at AFA.
