2012 OUTSTANDING CHAPTER AWARDS

For Spring 2012- Fall 2012 Chapter Programming & Events

Order of Omega is now accepting applications for the Outstanding Chapter Awards. This award honors chapters for their scholarship, diversity of membership, and efforts to foster a positive image within their Greek community, on campus, and in their local community.  Four chapters will be selected as 2012 Outstanding Chapter Award Recipients.  The award will be presented at each recipient's respective regional conference.  We believe that each of our chapters is deserving of recognition for their dedication to the embodiment of the positive values of Greek Life, and we strongly encourage every chapter to apply!

 

AWARD CRITERIA & APPLICATION 

- Chapter must be active and in good financial standing with Order of Omega HQ.

- Chapter must provide a letter of support from the Chapter Advisor and one other senior administrator from the campus.

- APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday, December 7, 2012

- Send completed application and supporting documents to:

Each of the four recipients will receive $1,000 to be used for relevant programming, training seminars, or as a gift/scholarship in the chapter's name.  Documention must be submitted to HQ regarding the use of all award monies.

2012-2013 CHAPTER PROGRAMMING GRANTS

For Fall 2012 - Spring 2013 Chapter Programming & Events

Order of Omega is pleased to offer Chapter Programming Grants this year.  The primary purpose is to help enhance chapter programming by providing supplemental financial support to programs that exemplify the twelve tenets of the Order.  Grants will be available to chapter's that are in good standing with Headquarters.

 

GUIDELINES 

- Creativity and innovation must be shown through bringing new types of programming to the campus.

- Applications must be submitted AT LEAST four weeks prior to your program date.  No funding will be given to programs held prior to review of application.

- A reasonable and realistic budgeting process must be in place for the program.

- All groups must have a faculty/staff program advisor.

- In general, grant awards will not support full funding of any program.  Applicants must demonstrate efforts to secure funding beyond this grant program. Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis.

- Does not fund programs in which there is intent to make a profit (i.e., charging excessive admission fees, etc.).

- Does not fund programs in which money is donated to charitable causes or individual organizations.

- Funding is awarded on a first come, first serve basis as long as funds are still available.

- A program evaluation, which will be sent with funding, MUST be completed and returned to HQ with program documentation within 30 days of program completion.

 

2012-2013 GRANT APPLICATION 

- Applications should be submitted at least four weeks prior to program date. Notification of funding approval will be within two weeks of receipt of application.  Funding will immediately follow notification. 

- Application must be fully completed and legible.  Feel free to type answers on a separate sheet and attach to application.
