The Lambda Phi  chapter of Order of Omega at FIU has begun the new year with positive change. We have adopted new by-laws ,implemented a new point system and added new positions to our Executive Board.   

This month we implemented a new recognition program titled Greek Man and Woman of the month, through which we honor those that have made outstanding contributions to our Greek community during that month. 

On  February 28 we will hold our first Train The Trainer (TTT) of the semester, which will focus on Ritual. Our Train The Trainer program consists of workshops to educate chapter officers and interested members about how to improve certain aspects of their organizations . Previous TTT's have focused on Finance and Public Relations. We have TTT's planned for the end of spring and fall that will focus on Risk Management and New Member education.  

This past month we also released our Toga Times, which is a newsletter about the Greek Community and the Order. Toga Times is distributed to all Greeks and placed on our website. It included articles on Academics and Relay For Life. We are excited for the semester that lies ahead. We will begin tapping New Members mid- February and in March we will be initiating those members. We can't wait to see what we accomplish next semester, the future of Lambda Phi looks brighter than ever.
